Our vision at Freedom Path is THE CHURCH living out God’s mission in the Akron/Ephrata area.

We desire that the DNA of Jesus would travel with us and permeate our lives.  A place where people can come and safely discover who God is.   We believe that church is for everyone.  Our desire is to BE the good news.  Come join us as we celebrate life and the Lord!

Our Leadership

Pastors Jim and Cathie Kearsley have served in ministry together for the last 18 years.  They were involved in ministry on the West coast and in Toronto Canada.

Our History

In the Spring of 2011 Jim was walking and praying in Akron Park when he saw a vision of a fire on Ephrata Mountain.  There he saw himself and Cathie fueling a fire and calling people to come closer to the light.  Through much prayer and discernment Jim and Cathie began the process of planting a church in the Akron/Ephrata area to reach those who do not fit in the traditional church.

Our Denomination

Freedom Path is an official church plant of Petra Fellowship in New Holland Pennsylvania which is part of the Hopewell Network of Churches.

We are also partnered with Freedom Valley Church in Gettysburg Pennsylvania.
